Uzbekistan Imports 95,300 Tons of Bananas in First Half of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan significantly increased banana imports during the first six months of 2025. According to preliminary data from the National Committee of Statistics, 95.3 thousand tons of bananas worth US$28 million were brought into the country in January–June of this year.

Compared to the same period in 2024, imports rose by 4.5 thousand tons.

Ecuador was the main supplier, accounting for 94 thousand tons. China ranked second with 539 tons, followed by Kyrgyzstan with 295 tons and India with 224 tons. Other countries collectively supplied 205 tons of bananas.
