Surgital Expands Premium Frozen Pasta Line With Red Shrimp Bottoni

Frozen
Italian frozen pasta specialist Surgital is strengthening its presence in the global foodservice market with a new addition to its high-end brand, Divine Creazioni.

The company, based in Romagna, has built a reputation over the past four decades as a leading ambassador of Italian cuisine abroad, producing frozen fresh pasta designed for both ready-to-eat convenience and gourmet dining.

Surgital’s portfolio includes Laboratorio Tortellini, a brand focused on regional Italian traditions, and Divine Creazioni, which caters to fine dining. The latter emphasizes artisanal detail, with pasta shapes that mimic handmade preparation and fillings made from PDO-certified Italian ingredients. Each piece is crafted with eight eggs per kilogram of semolina and presented in trays designed to preserve its form.

“This is more than just pasta: it’s a sensory experience that engages all the senses — aesthetics, taste, texture, and flavor,” said Elena Bacchini, Surgital’s marketing director. “It’s the ideal choice for chefs who want to offer their clients a top-class dish.”

The 2025 lineup will feature Bottoni al Gambero Rosso, or Red Shrimp Bottoni, which Bacchini describes as “capturing the magic of the sea and the passion for haute cuisine.” The round pasta shape is filled with shrimp accented by lime and a subtle saltiness, enhanced with a bisque for added depth. The company is positioning the product for high-end restaurants seeking refined menu options.

Laboratorio Tortellini, meanwhile, continues to serve chefs with a catalog of more than 140 frozen pasta recipes. The brand relies on Individual Quick Frozen technology, which preserves texture and flavor without preservatives or additives. That process also allows each piece of pasta to be frozen separately, giving chefs greater flexibility and precise portion control.

Surgital executives say the company’s ability to merge Italian culinary heritage with technological innovation and sustainability has made it a reference point for restaurants worldwide, from quick-service operations to luxury dining. “Thanks to continuous investments in automation and digitization, Surgital provides tailored solutions for luxury hotels, high-end restaurants, and industry operators, enhancing flexibility and operational efficiency,” said Massimiliano Bacchini, sales director.
