Tom Parker Creamery has entered into a new supply agreement with First Milk to source regeneratively farmed milk from dairy farms located across the surrounding region for its Somerset-based creamery.
The partnership will connect Tom Parker Creamery’s facility in Wincanton with First Milk member farms situated within a 90-mile radius, supporting both companies’ efforts to strengthen sustainable dairy production and develop more localised supply chains.
The collaboration comes as food and beverage companies face increasing demand for greater transparency in sourcing, farming practices and environmental performance, driven by heightened consumer and retailer expectations.
Owned by approximately 700 farming families across the UK, First Milk has been expanding its regenerative agriculture programme, which promotes farming methods such as rotational grazing, improved soil health, biodiversity enhancement and water conservation to build long-term resilience on farms.
Under the agreement, milk will be sourced from grazing-based dairy farms, with participating farmers also collecting environmental data to monitor sustainability outcomes and measure progress over time.
For Tom Parker Creamery, the partnership aligns with its strategy to expand production while maintaining a strong regional sourcing model focused on the South West. The company is known for its minimally processed dairy offerings, including non-standardised milk that retains its natural cream content rather than separating it during production.
Tom Parker Creamery also continues to emphasise environmentally conscious packaging, using reusable glass bottles and paper labels across its product range as part of its commitment to reducing plastic use.
The new partnership reflects a broader shift in the dairy industry, where processors and farming co-operatives are increasingly prioritising regenerative farming and local sourcing as core business strategies rather than standalone sustainability efforts.
