NSW Expands Export Support to Boost Agrifood Businesses
New South Wales launches enhanced export programs, trade missions, and capability-building initiatives to help agrifood companies access global markets and grow international sales.

The New South Wales (NSW) Government has unveiled an expanded package of export support programs aimed at helping agrifood businesses strengthen their international presence, access new overseas markets, and drive long-term export growth. The initiative forms part of the state’s broader strategy to enhance trade performance and create new opportunities for food producers, processors, and manufacturers.

The refreshed support package includes an enhanced Export Capability Building Program (ECBP), which will deliver a series of workshops during 2026–27 to help businesses assess export readiness, develop market-entry strategies, and build practical skills for international trade. The program is designed to assist both emerging exporters and established companies looking to expand into new global markets.

To further strengthen export capability, the government has introduced Communities of Practice for Exporters, connecting experienced exporters with businesses seeking to expand internationally. The initiative will create industry-focused networks across sectors including agrifood, enabling companies to exchange market insights, receive mentoring, and build valuable commercial relationships.

The government is also expanding its Going Global Export Program (GGEP) and Going Global Trade Missions (GGTM), providing export-ready businesses with opportunities to engage directly with buyers, distributors, and business partners in priority international markets. Planned trade missions will target regions including Southeast Asia, North Asia, China, India, North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East.

For the agrifood sector, the initiatives are expected to create new opportunities for exporters of processed foods, premium agricultural products, beverages, and value-added food products. By improving export capability and strengthening international business connections, the programs aim to help NSW companies diversify markets, increase export revenues, and improve long-term business resilience.

The expanded export support reflects the NSW Government’s commitment to strengthening the state’s food manufacturing and agribusiness sectors. Through targeted training, international trade missions, and industry collaboration, the initiatives are expected to enhance the global competitiveness of NSW agrifood businesses while supporting job creation, investment, and sustainable export growth.
