Arla Foods is bringing its Arla Cultura gut-health dairy label to the UK.
Currently sold in Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden, the six-strong lineup of milk drinks and yoghurts will hit the shelves of UK retailers from 1 September, priced at £2.25.
The range includes 500ml Original, Raspberry and Blueberry flavoured milk drinks, with the latter two said to have a unique “fizz”. The yoghurts will be sold in 450g pots in Original, Strawberry and Blueberry variants. They have a “smooth and creamy texture” with subtle fruit notes in the flavoured options.
“We’re proud to introduce Arla Cultura to the UK market,” said Stuart Ibberson, Arla brand director. “Our ambition is to become the most trusted, accessible gut-health brand on shelf – and to do that, we’re launching a major marketing campaign from September 2025 and throughout 2026. “We want to simplify complex science so consumers can feel confident about ‘giving their gut more’ every day.”
Aimed at consumers seeking functional foods with “added benefits”, the NPD is made from a combination of bacteria cultures, vitamin D, calcium, protein and fibre, and is lactose-free. It also has a “milder taste profile” than other fermented dairy products on the market to ensure taste is not a barrier, the dairy co-operative said.
“The gut-health offering sits within the wider yoghurt category which has continued to see growth year on year,” said Ibberson. “Within this space there has been an increased demand for products with ‘added benefits’, which is where Arla Cultura will sit.”
