AVR Strengthens UK Dealer and Service Network With New Partnerships

AVR
Belgian potato machinery manufacturer AVR has reinforced its presence in the United Kingdom by appointing Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd as a dealer and adding two service points, Jackson Agri & Plant Ltd and Matt Horler Agricultural Engineering Ltd, to its network.

The move forms part of AVR’s strategy to expand its footprint in the UK, ensuring that its full machinery range is accessible while providing growers with more localised technical support. The company expanded its dedicated AVR UK team last year to better support both dealers and customers.

Andrew Starbuck, Country Manager UK at AVR, said: “Partnering with Ernest Doe & Sons is an important step in strengthening AVR’s presence in the UK. Their extensive branch network, experienced sales teams, and strong aftersales support make them the ideal partner to deliver our machinery to potato growers throughout the Ernest Doe trading area.

We look forward to working closely together to help customers maximise their efficiency, yield, and profitability.” Through Ernest Doe & Sons, AVR machinery will be available across the company’s branch network, widening access for growers.

The two new service partners extend AVR’s local support in key production regions. Jackson Agri & Plant Ltd, led by Managing Director Neil Jackson, is a long-established provider of agricultural servicing with specialist expertise in a range of equipment, including applicators. Based in Yorkshire, the business is well positioned to deliver parts, service, and technical assistance for AVR machines.

In the South West, Matt Horler Agricultural Engineering Ltd will offer specialist support for planters, harvesters, grading and crop care equipment. According to AVR, Horler’s professionalism and reliability will strengthen customer service provision in the region. The expanded network will be backed by AVR’s UK-based personnel in both sales and aftersales, who bring extensive experience in the root crop machinery sector.
