Owners of Iconic Caribbean Restaurant to Launch New Location in Coral Springs
A Japanese restaurant long regarded by reviewers as a “hidden gem” has quietly ceased operations after more than seven years in business, without issuing a formal closure announcement. Records indicate the establishment first obtained its license in 2017.

Meanwhile, a new venture, Pleasure Caribbean Cuisine, was registered in June 2025 under accountant Anibal Quintao, alongside Betanie Henry and chef Richemond “Ray” Belice. The trio also owns Unique Park Restaurant in Pompano Beach and brings more than 25 years of experience in South Florida’s restaurant industry.

According to the Unique Park website, Chef Ray and his team specialize in signature Haitian dishes such as griot, bon fritay, and a range of seafood offerings, with a focus on delivering a high-quality dining experience rooted in culinary excellence.

The new restaurant is set to open at Riverside Plaza, located at 8242 Wiles Road. The owners were not available for comment at the time of publication.
