PM inaugurates packaging plant at Bhilwara co-op dairy

Bhilwara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday inaugurated an Ultra High Temperature (UHT) aseptic packaging processing plant of Bhilwara milk producers’ cooperative via video conference from National Agriculture Science Council in Pusa, New Delhi.

The plant will be the first in Rajasthan with a UHT packing facility capable of handling up to 200ml packs. The plant will process and package milk and milk products at high temperatures to enable their preservation for up to 6 months.

Initially, Saras Chhaachh, Saras Lassi, and Saras Cream will be packaged in 180ml packs.Managing director of the Bhilwara milk producers’ cooperative, Divyam Kapuria, stated that the plant, built at a cost of Rs 46.82 crore, was accomplished with technical assistance from National Dairy Development Board.

Present at the dairy premises during the inauguration were Bhilwara MP Damodar Agarwal, BJP leaders, and officials associated with the dairy.
