Winland Foods Expands St. Louis Facility with $38.5 Million Investment

St. Louis — Winland Foods, a global food manufacturer, has announced a $38.5 million investment to expand its South St. Louis production facility in Missouri, a move expected to create 25 new jobs and enhance operational capacity.

The expansion will focus on increasing both production capacity and flexibility by adding new production lines and improving logistics infrastructure, including rail-car access. The facility, which currently employs over 100 workers, specializes in producing egg pasta, manicotti, and jumbo shells. The upgrade will significantly boost its ability to manufacture and package jumbo shell products.

“This investment will add significant capacity to our local facility,” said Bob Chapin, former St. Louis Plant Manager, who has recently been promoted to Technical Operations Manager at Winland Foods.

The expanded operations are scheduled to become fully operational by Fall 2026.

Headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, Winland Foods operates 17 manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada. The company focuses on meal preparation products, offering a wide portfolio that includes pasta, sauces, syrups, dressings, jams, pie fillings, baking ingredients, and plant-based proteins.

Winland Foods’ brands include well-known names such as Creamette, Prince, No Yolks, and Wacky Mac, alongside private-label solutions for retail and foodservice markets.

The company will benefit from support under the Missouri Works program, which provides financial incentives such as tax credits and withholdings to encourage business expansion, job creation, and facility upgrades, including equipment investments.

Backed by Investindustrial, a leading European investment group, Winland Foods continues to strengthen its position in the food manufacturing sector through strategic investments and expansion initiatives.
