Eggoz has expanded its range of clean-label and traceable egg products with the launch of Eggoz Protein Plus Eggs in India. The new product is designed to cater to consumers seeking high-protein and functional food options as interest in fitness, muscle recovery and preventive health continues to rise.
The company said the product mainly targets regular egg consumers, including fitness enthusiasts and gym-goers looking for convenient and natural protein sources in their daily diets.
Citing the Indian Council of Medical Research’s 2024 dietary recommendations, Eggoz noted that healthy adults require around 0.83 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight each day. According to the company, consuming two Protein Plus Eggs can contribute significantly towards meeting daily protein needs, while a pack of 10 eggs provides close to 70 grams of protein.
As part of the launch strategy, Eggoz plans to distribute the product through quick-commerce platforms and promote it via fitness-oriented digital marketing campaigns. Initially, the company will focus on markets such as Delhi NCR and Bengaluru before expanding availability to Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Lucknow.
Eggoz stated that its processing facilities use automated grading systems, weight screening technology and minimal manual handling to ensure consistent product quality, hygiene and uniformity in egg size.
The company added that consumer demand for functional everyday foods is steadily increasing, with many consumers preferring natural food-based nutrition over supplements. Eggs continue to remain one of the most affordable and commonly consumed natural protein sources in the country.
