The Italian company combines food-grade printing systems, edible inks and customised decoration solutions to support professional and industrial food applications.
Lesepidado is expanding its focus on edible printing through integrated solutions that combine food-grade printers, edible inks and specialised decoration products. The Italian company develops technologies for applications ranging from artisan pastry-making to industrial food production, with an emphasis on printing quality, product customisation and regulatory compliance.
Founded in 1999, Lesepidado originally focused on applying inkjet technology to the food sector. Its operations now include two specialised divisions: Vivy, which develops food colourants and decorations, and Vivytech, which designs food-printing systems for food and other industrial applications.
The company’s edible printing portfolio includes systems for printing on edible sheets as well as direct-to-food printers. These technologies allow businesses to apply images, logos and other graphic designs to products such as cakes, biscuits, macarons, marshmallows, chocolate and sugar-based decorations.
Lesepidado’s direct-printing systems are designed to support different production requirements. Its Deliziosa A3 printer, for example, can print on surfaces measuring up to 48 by 33 centimetres and on products placed in baking trays, while automatic height detection helps position the printing heads according to the product surface.
For larger applications, the company offers systems such as Deliziosa, which supports printing areas of up to 60 by 50 centimetres. The equipment is designed for products with varying shapes and consistencies, including high cakes, biscuits, chocolate and other confectionery items.
Lesepidado also develops industrial single-pass printing systems. Its Infinity 2.0 technology is designed for high-volume production lines and can print images, logos and other graphics directly onto products using edible inks. The system offers adjustable printing resolution from 150 to 600 dpi and can be configured for existing industrial production lines.
Edible inks form another important part of the company’s offering. Lesepidado produces formulations for thermal and piezoelectric inkjet technologies, with applications across cakes, cookies, edible sheets, candies, macarons and chocolate. Its product range includes gluten-free and E171-free formulations, as well as customised inks for professional and industrial requirements.
The company also supplies edible printing media, including wafer paper, icing sheets, Easyprint sheets and chocolate transfer sheets. These materials are intended to support different decoration methods and product requirements, from printed cake toppers to transfers on chocolate and fat-based products.
Research and development remains central to Lesepidado’s approach. Its internal laboratory works on formulations, application testing and continuous improvement, while the company’s regulatory department supports the development of products intended to meet the requirements of different international markets.
Lesepidado’s integrated model also includes private-label services for companies and distributors. These services cover customised formulations, packaging and technical documentation, enabling business partners to develop food-decoration products suited to their own markets and brand requirements.
The company’s technology portfolio reflects the growing role of digital printing in food decoration. By combining edible materials, printing equipment and application expertise, Lesepidado aims to help food manufacturers and pastry professionals improve visual customisation while supporting consistent production and product development.
