The upgraded digital platform introduces multilingual support, improved search tools and enhanced security to improve access to food processing industry information and government schemes.
Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan has launched the revamped official website of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) at Panchsheel Bhawan in New Delhi on November 4, 2026. The new platform is designed to improve digital accessibility, strengthen transparency and provide a more user-friendly experience for citizens, entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders.
One of the key additions is multilingual support, which is expected to help users from different linguistic backgrounds access information more conveniently. The platform also features improved search functionality, allowing visitors to locate relevant policies, announcements, programmes and other resources with greater ease. These improvements are intended to make the website more accessible to a wider range of users, including businesses and entrepreneurs in different parts of the country.
The upgraded website also incorporates enhanced data protection and security mechanisms to provide a safer digital experience. Its improved navigation and information structure are intended to simplify access to government updates and reduce the difficulty of finding relevant documents and announcements.
For food processing businesses, the website will serve as an important information platform covering government policies, financial assistance programmes, industry initiatives and development schemes. Entrepreneurs, farmers, food manufacturers and other stakeholders can use it to explore relevant government support and stay informed about developments in the sector.
The ministry administers several programmes supporting the development of India’s food processing industry. These include the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) and the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana. The revamped website provides an improved digital gateway for users seeking information about these initiatives and their implementation.
The launch reflects the government’s wider emphasis on digital governance and accessible public services. By improving information access and strengthening online communication with industry participants, the ministry aims to support a more connected ecosystem for food processing businesses and other stakeholders.
The new official website is available at www.mofpi.gov.in. Its upgraded features are expected to make government information more accessible while supporting entrepreneurs and businesses seeking opportunities in India’s expanding food processing sector.
