Roskam Foods consolidates cereal and granola production at Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids, Michigan: Contract manufacturer Roskam Foods has announced the consolidation of its cereal and granola manufacturing operations by closing its San Dimas, California facility and shifting all production to its Grand Rapids campus in Michigan.

The transition is expected to be completed by October 1, 2026, creating a single, purpose-built Midwest manufacturing hub for Roskam’s cereal and granola business.

The company said the move will maximize the benefits of its recent capital investments in cereal and granola production while improving operational efficiency, customer service, speed to market, and quality control. Grand Rapids was selected for its strategic advantages in ingredient sourcing, advanced automation, and production capabilities.

Andre LeBron, Chief Executive Officer of Roskam Foods, said the consolidation represents a long-term investment in both the product category and the company’s customers, enabling greater efficiency, faster innovation, and consistent product quality.

Roskam acquired the San Dimas facility in 2022 following Entrepreneurial Equity Partners’ acquisition of Roskam Baking Co. and its merger with Organic Milling Inc. The company confirmed that all production scheduling has already been transferred to Grand Rapids, and customers have been notified to ensure uninterrupted supply and service.

Employees at the San Dimas site have been informed of the closure, and Roskam has completed all required regulatory procedures, including WARN Act notifications. The company added that it is providing support to affected employees and working with local employers to help identify new job opportunities.

Zach Malin, Chief Commercial Officer, said the centralized operation will strengthen Roskam’s ability to innovate more quickly while expanding capacity to support the growing needs of the brands it serves.
