Vanmark Launches Helix Hydrocutting System for High-Volume Curly Fry Production : Boise-based equipment manufacturer Vanmark has introduced the Helix Hydrocutting System, a new solution aimed at industrial processors producing curly fries at scale.

The system is designed with twin cutting heads in a stacked configuration to deliver higher throughput while maintaining a moderate footprint. Depending on production requirements, the system can be scaled from two to more than 12 cutters. It also integrates a pump, distributor, dewatering conveyor, central control, and vision system.

According to the company, the Helix replaces traditional mechanical cutters with a hydrocutting approach that simplifies maintenance. The design features patent-pending toolless blade changeouts, complemented by an annual rebuild service provided by Vanmark technicians.

“Vanmark has been the global leader in food hydrocutting equipment for decades, used by leading industrial food processors to cut potatoes into a variety of shapes and sizes,” said Jason Davis, Vice President at Vanmark. “The Helix Hydrocutting System brings that expertise into a spiral cutting machine that consistently and efficiently slices curly fries to meet the demand in this high-value product market.”

Vanmark, part of the Grote Company family of brands, specializes in equipment for storage, washing, peeling, and cutting potatoes and produce. The Helix Hydrocutting System is available immediately.
