Zappfresh Enters Frozen Veg Snacks Segment with ₹10 Cr

Zappfresh enters the frozen veg snacks segment with a ₹10 crore investment, aiming to expand its footprint in India’s growing frozen foods market.

Zappfresh, a Delhi NCR–based meat delivery company, has expanded into the frozen vegetarian snacks segment with the launch of a new brand, Meevaa Foods. This move marks a key step in the company’s strategy to scale its ready-to-eat and frozen food offerings beyond its core meat business. Meevaa Foods will debut in Delhi NCR from February 9, with plans to enter Mumbai and Bengaluru from March 1. To support this expansion, Zappfresh has committed an investment of INR 10 Cr, which will be deployed over the next two to three years to strengthen its frozen food operations and distribution network.

As part of the pilot phase, the company will introduce 12 frozen vegetarian products, including samosas, momos, kebabs, and patties. Zappfresh also plans to expand the product range on a quarterly basis, depending on consumer demand. The company expects imports and exports to contribute 15–20% of total frozen food volumes in the future.

The launch follows Zappfresh’s recent acquisition of a controlling stake in Avyom Foodtech through a INR 7.5 Cr private placement. Avyom later entered into a binding agreement with RTC brand Ambrozia Frozen Foods to acquire its food processing business. According to cofounder Deepanshu Manchanda, this acquisition has helped Zappfresh fast-track its frozen food ambitions while enhancing manufacturing capabilities and recipe expertise.

Founded in 2015, Zappfresh initially focused on rapid meat deliveries and later expanded through acquisitions such as Dr Meat (2023) and Bonsaro (2024). The company was listed on the BSE SME exchange in October 2025, raising INR 53 Cr. In H1 FY26, Zappfresh reported a net profit of INR 7 Cr, a 2.9X increase year-on-year, with operating revenue rising 43% to INR 95.6 Cr. Shares of DSM Fresh Foods Ltd closed up 4.8% at INR 131 on the BSE.
