Commercial-scale precision fermentation at ADM’s Iowa facility will expand production of EVERY’s OvoPro™ egg white protein to meet rising demand for sustainable, high-quality protein ingredients.
ADM and The EVERY Company have entered into a strategic partnership to begin commercial-scale production of OvoPro™, EVERY’s precision-fermented egg white protein, at ADM’s Clinton, Iowa manufacturing facility. The collaboration combines ADM’s large-scale precision fermentation capabilities with EVERY’s proprietary protein technology to expand the supply of high-quality, animal-free protein ingredients for food manufacturers.
The agreement marks the first commercial-scale U.S. manufacturing site for OvoPro™, significantly increasing production capacity to meet growing demand for protein-fortified foods across bakery, beverages, nutrition products, and other food categories. The expansion follows strong commercial growth for EVERY, driven by increasing adoption of its ingredients in retail and foodservice markets.
OvoPro™ is produced through precision fermentation, a process that uses microorganisms to create the primary protein found in egg whites without relying on laying hens. The ingredient delivers the same essential functional properties as conventional egg whites—including binding, gelling, foaming, and whipping—while offering manufacturers a consistent and reliable protein source.
According to ADM, the partnership will help strengthen global protein supply chains by complementing traditional protein production with innovative fermentation-based ingredients. The collaboration also supports ADM’s continued investment in precision fermentation technologies and demonstrates how existing industrial infrastructure can accelerate the commercialization of next-generation food ingredients.
EVERY noted that the collaboration will provide food manufacturers with a price-stable, scalable, and high-performance protein ingredient, helping reduce supply-chain volatility while supporting demand for protein fortification.
