After months of speculation and growing excitement online, Nutella has officially introduced its first new flavour in more than 60 years: Nutella Peanut.
Now available nationwide, the new spread combines Nutella’s signature creamy hazelnut base with the rich, roasted flavour of peanuts, offering a fresh twist on a long-time household favourite.
Noah Szporn, senior vice president of spreads at Ferrero North America, commented on the launch, saying that the brand’s recent viral moments sparked a sense of possibility for innovation.
The introduction marks a major milestone for Nutella, which has remained largely unchanged since its debut in 1964. With Nutella Peanut, the brand steps into new territory while maintaining the smooth texture and indulgent experience that made it globally popular.
Szporn added that the new variant delivers the same creamy consistency fans expect, now enhanced with the irresistible taste of roasted peanuts.
Designed for versatility, Nutella Peanut is easy to spread and pairs well with everyday favourites such as toast, sandwiches, and fruit, positioning it as a convenient addition to daily routines.
Since its creation in Italy in 1964, Nutella has grown into a global phenomenon, now available in around 160 countries. Its parent company, Ferrero, founded in 1946 in Alba, Italy, has become one of the world’s leading sweet-packaged food companies. With a portfolio of more than 35 brands—including Kinder, Tic Tac, and Ferrero Rocher—the company continues to expand its global presence, reaching consumers in over 170 countries.
