Pacific Seafood Expands U.S. Seafood Network Through Ocean Beauty Distribution Merger
Strategic integration strengthens seafood distribution capabilities, expands market reach, and improves supply chain efficiency across key U.S. regions.

Pacific Seafood and Ocean Beauty Seafoods have completed the integration of their distribution businesses, bringing together two established seafood companies to strengthen distribution capabilities and expand access to high-quality seafood products across the United States. The strategic combination aims to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer service, and create new growth opportunities in the seafood sector.

The agreement combines Ocean Beauty Seafoods’ distribution operations with Pacific Seafood’s extensive sourcing, processing, and transportation network. The integrated business includes Ocean Beauty facilities in locations such as Portland and Astoria, Oregon; Renton, Washington; Boise, Idaho; Helena, Montana; and Dallas, Texas, expanding Pacific Seafood’s presence across western and central U.S. markets.

The merger is expected to strengthen the seafood supply chain by combining complementary capabilities from both companies. Customers will gain access to a broader product portfolio, improved distribution infrastructure, and enhanced logistics support, helping retailers, foodservice operators, and other seafood buyers receive reliable supplies of fresh, frozen, and value-added seafood products.

For the seafood processing and food packaging industries, the expansion could drive increased demand for advanced cold-chain solutions, frozen food packaging, sustainable materials, and value-added seafood processing technologies. As seafood companies scale distribution networks, efficient packaging systems that maintain product quality, extend shelf life, and support transportation efficiency are becoming increasingly important.

Pacific Seafood said the transaction supports its long-term Mission 31 growth strategy, which focuses on expanding its business footprint, improving market access, and investing in sustainable seafood operations. The company has continued to grow through strategic investments in processing capacity, distribution infrastructure, and supply chain improvements.

Ocean Beauty Seafoods, which has more than a century of experience in seafood distribution, will continue its value-added seafood activities through separate business operations, while the distribution integration provides a stronger platform for serving customers across broader markets.

The partnership highlights the ongoing consolidation trend in the global seafood industry, where companies are investing in larger, more efficient supply networks to meet rising consumer demand for convenient, nutritious, and sustainably sourced seafood products.
