The Krishna Milk Union has set a new national milestone by announcing the highest-ever milk procurement price along with record bonuses for dairy farmers at its 36th General Body Meeting held on March 28, 2026.
Presiding over the meeting, Chairman Chalasani Anjaneyulu revealed that the union has increased the procurement price of buffalo milk (10% fat) by ₹30 per kg fat, taking it to ₹850. Similarly, the price for cow milk total solids has been raised by ₹20 to ₹310. With the addition of bonuses effective from April 1, 2026, farmers are expected to receive an unprecedented ₹935 per kg fat.
Further strengthening farmer incomes, the union announced a ₹15 crore bonus for the final quarter of the 2025–26 financial year, bringing the total annual bonus distribution to ₹45 crore.
The meeting also highlighted the union’s impressive growth over the past seven years. Its annual turnover has risen by 77% to ₹1,265 crore, while fixed assets have expanded fourfold from ₹64 crore to ₹320 crore.
Mr. Anjaneyulu attributed this success to a strong farmer-centric approach and consistent government support, including a ₹10 crore Central subsidy and state-backed initiatives such as the construction of cattle sheds across constituencies.
Focusing on sustainability, the union plans to establish a 10-MW solar power plant to reduce energy costs and is actively encouraging organic farming practices among its member villages.
The progress report, presented in the presence of Managing Director Kolli Eshwar Babu and committee members, reflects the union’s transformation into a financially strong organisation with a ₹250-crore surplus, committed to the overall welfare and development of the dairy farming community.
