Premium gourmet ice cream brand Zimero has introduced India’s first Dot Cake Ice Creams, bringing the globally trending Dot Cake dessert concept to the country’s frozen dessert market. Inspired by the viral polka-dot cake trend that gained popularity across Instagram and TikTok, the new product transforms the colourful dessert into an indulgent ice cream format.
Launched on 1 July, the new range is available in two flavours—Red Velvet and Strawberry Cheesecake. Each Dot Cake Ice Cream features a layer of soft sponge cake sandwiched between rich all-dairy ice cream and coated with colourful crunchy sugar balls, recreating the signature appearance and texture of the original dot cake. The launch marks a first-of-its-kind offering in the Indian ice cream category.
According to Shuchi Jain, Founder and Director of Zimero, the viral popularity of dot cakes presented an opportunity to reimagine the trend in a frozen dessert format. The company believes the product combines nostalgia, visual appeal, and premium ingredients to create a unique consumer experience that resonates with younger, trend-conscious audiences.
The Dot Cake Ice Creams further expand Zimero’s portfolio, which now includes more than 27 gourmet flavours along with sugar-free, 100% organic jaggery-sweetened, and vegan ice cream options. The company has also diversified into innovative formats such as ice cream sandwiches, cassata bites, tiramisu bites, bon bons, and pet-friendly frozen treats, reflecting its focus on product innovation.
Founded as an online-first brand in 2023, Zimero has expanded its retail presence with outlets in Connaught Place and Gurgaon, while offering deliveries across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Dehradun. The company is also preparing to enter Hyderabad and pursue international expansion into the Middle East and Europe.
